Diggers FC and Da-EBS FC share entertaining draw

The opening fixture of UI Unity Cup matchday 2 saw Da-EBS FC and Diggers FC battle to an exciting 2-2 draw.
Da-EBS struck first through Adeshina Troy before Adetoro AbdMalik doubled their advantage, putting them in complete control of the contest.
Diggers FC refused to surrender. Aderibigbe Ayomide reduced the deficit before Ayonuwe Meshack found the equaliser to complete an impressive comeback and earn his side a valuable point.
The match remained competitive throughout, with both teams creating chances to snatch a late winner, but neither side could find the decisive breakthrough.
Discipline played its part in the encounter as Da-EBS players Adepoju Ayanfe, Muhyideen Muhammad, Adeshina Troy and Sholanke Razak all received yellow cards. Diggers FC midfielder Ayonuwe Meshack was also booked during the contest.
Although neither team claimed maximum points, the draw keeps both clubs firmly in contention after UI Unity Cup matchday 2.
USFC edge Vortex in closely fought contest
United Superstars Football Club continued their impressive start to the tournament with a narrow 1-0 victory over Vortex FC.
After scoring three goals on Matchday One, USFC once again relied on their attacking efficiency, with Samuel Eno Sunday producing the decisive moment of the match.
His well-taken finish proved enough to separate the two sides in what was otherwise a tightly contested encounter.
Vortex FC enjoyed long spells of possession and searched tirelessly for an equaliser but found the USFC defence difficult to break down.
The victory gives United Superstars six points from their opening two matches and further strengthens their credentials as one of the favourites in this year’s competition.
The referee produced two yellow cards during the game, cautioning Mukaila Hammed and Olatunbosun Jeremiah of Vortex FC.
For USFC, another clean sheet will be just as satisfying as the three points collected during UI Unity Cup matchday 2.
TomTom FC bounce back in commanding fashion

After suffering defeat in their opening fixture, TomTom FC responded brilliantly with a convincing 3-0 victory over Rebels FC.
The performance was one of the most complete displays seen during UI Unity Cup matchday 2, as TomTom controlled proceedings from the opening whistle.
Oyewole Mujeeb opened the scoring before Alawode Micah doubled the advantage to put Rebels under increasing pressure.
Balogun Abdullahi then completed the scoring with TomTom’s third goal to wrap up an impressive afternoon.
Rebels struggled to create meaningful opportunities throughout the contest and were unable to find a way back into the game.
Only two yellow cards were shown during the encounter, with Sanni Marvelous receiving a caution for TomTom FC and Qudus Oniyide entering the referee’s notebook for Rebels FC.
The victory gets TomTom’s campaign back on track after the disappointment of Matchday One and provides fresh momentum heading into the next round of fixtures.
