Soccer superstarCristiano Ronaldo was present at a White House dinner on Tuesday hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump in honour of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Ronaldo was seated near the front in the East Room, alongside major figures from politics and business, including Apple CEO Tim Cook and Elon Musk.
Trump publicly acknowledged him during his remarks, noting that his son Barron is a big fan.
The 40-year-old forward is currently with Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, a club majority-owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, which is closely tied to the Crown Prince.
His appearance underscores not only his role as a prominent athlete but also his ties to Saudi Arabia’s leadership through sport and business.
