Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández is scheduled to undergo an MRI on his left hamstring after exiting Monday night’s 7–4 victory over the Miami Marlins due to tightness in his leg. The 32-year-old slugger left the game in the fourth inning after experiencing discomfort while making a catch in the right-center field gap during the third inning.

Manager Dave Roberts expressed concern over the injury, noting that Hernández is not one to leave games lightly. “He’s a guy that just doesn’t come out of games by way of injury,” Roberts said. “That’s a little concerning given the person.”

Prior to his exit, Hernández had a productive night at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an RBI double and a single. He’s been a key contributor to the Dodgers’ offense this season, batting .315 with nine home runs and a league-leading 34 RBIs in 33 games.

The Dodgers are preparing for the possibility that Hernández may need to be placed on the injured list. Roberts mentioned that the team is considering adding a player to the taxi squad as a precaution. “We’re going to get some pictures and see how it is tomorrow,” he said.

Hernández’s potential absence would be a significant blow to the Dodgers, who are currently leading the National League West with a 24-11 record. His power and consistency at the plate have been instrumental in the team’s success. The Dodgers will await the results of the MRI to determine the severity of the injury and the appropriate course of action.

In the meantime, the team may look to players like Chris Taylor, who replaced Hernández in Monday’s game, to fill the void in the outfield. The Dodgers’ depth will be tested as they navigate this potential setback.

As the Dodgers continue their road trip, they will hope for a positive outcome from Hernández’s MRI and a swift return to the lineup for one of their most impactful players.
