Florida 2026 star safety schedules Notre Dame official visit for this spring

by

This spring is shaping up to be a big one for Notre Dame football recruiting, and on Friday it just got bigger with the news of Florida safety Simeon Caldwell scheduling his official visit.

The Irish will host the 6-foot, 3-inch and 185-pounder on June 10th per a report from Hayes Fawcett. This will be official visit No. 3 for Caldwell during the spring, who will also see Miami and USC before heading to South Bend. The nation’s No. 94 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings will conclude his spring visits with one to Ohio State.

Reading a bit more into Caldwell’s recruitment, it would have to seem that the Trojans and Buckeyes have a leg up, as he will also make unofficial visits to those two schools this spring along with the officials. Hopefully his visit to Notre Dame closes the gap on his potential top teams and the Irish put themselves in a great position to land one of the country’s best players.
