The match began with Bayern Munich pressing for an early advantage. Their efforts paid off in the 52nd minute when Harry Kane opened the scoring, becoming the English player to score against the most different teams in Champions League history. Kane’s goal surpassed Paul Scholes’ previous record of scoring against 20 different teams.
Despite his individual achievement, Bayern Munich failed to progress, losing 4-3 on aggregate after goals from Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez and Benjamin Pavard turned the tide.
