The Los Angeles Lakers sealed a 129-119 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night to finish a perfect 4-0 in West Group B and book their spot in the knockout stage of the NBA Cup.

Luka Dončić — facing his former team — led the way with 35 points and 11 assists, while Austin Reaves poured in a team-high 38 points along with 8 rebounds. Deandre Ayton added 17 points and 8 boards, and the Lakers shot 59.2 % from the field overall.

For Dallas, Anthony Davis made his return after a 14-game absence, scoring 12 points, while P.J. Washington scored 22 — but the Mavs’ offence couldn’t keep pace, and their 1-3 group record ended their Cup hopes.

With the win, the Los confirmed their place in the Cup quarter-finals and maintained momentum heading into the crucial knockout rounds.
