Mikel Arteta
Following a 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday, Mikel Arteta called Chelsea “the finest attacking team in the league” despite the fact that they only managed two shots on goal.
After a lackluster match at Emirates Stadium, Mikel Merino’s header in the 20th minute put Arsenal within 12 points of Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Chelsea, on the other hand, remains in fourth place following their eighth league loss of the season. During the game, several Blues supporters yelled “attack, attack, attack” as their team worked hard to create noteworthy opportunities.
They came closest to scoring when Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya let Marc Cucurella’s volley in the 37th minute slip through his hands and go just past his left-hand post. Cole Palmer, a key forward, was also sidelined due to injury, joining Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, and Mykhailo Mudryk.
“Aside from one odd save from David, I would say we have given up almost nothing, and that is a major tribute to the club because in my opinion they are the best attacking team in the league,” Arteta stated.

“They are by far the best in open play. It is evident from the statistics and from what I have observed. Any member of the defensive line can throw you in behind, they can open you up, they can run in transition, they have individual quality, they can combine on both sides, they can play on weak sides, and they are currently missing some key players as well.”
“Yes, and I think they would not have to play Thursday, Sunday,” Arteta added when asked if he thought Chelsea would pose a serious threat the following season. They were on the brink due to the number of injuries they also sustained, but they were able to recover because to their excellent manager, players, and squad.
