Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has announced she is parting ways with Evolve, the sports agency she co-founded in 2022 with her longtime agent Stuart Duguid. The split comes as her management contract with the agency expires at the end of 2025, and she plans to move on starting in the new year.
Osaka and Duguid launched Evolve after she left global agency IMG, aiming to create a boutique firm tailored to elite athletes. The agency quickly gained attention on the tennis scene, signing high-profile clients like Nick Kyrgios and current women’s world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.
In a message on social media, Osaka expressed gratitude for her time with Evolve, calling it “a great run” and thanking supporters for their encouragement. She stopped short of revealing her next move but said fans will hear from her when she decides her next step.
The Japanese star enjoyed a strong year on court in 2025 after returning from maternity leave — including winning her first title as a mother in May and making the Canadian Open final and U.S. Open semifinals — finishing the season ranked 16th globally.
Industry reports suggest Naomi may reunite with IMG, the agency she originally left in 2021, where Duguid also represented her before they launched Evolve. Her close friend and longtime manager, Alex Boston, is also reported to be making a parallel move.
The departure marks the end of a three-year chapter in Osaka’s off-court career building her own agency, one of the most notable athlete-led management ventures in tennis. As she looks ahead to 2026, fans and sponsors alike will be watching closely where she lands next and how her business path evolves alongside her playing career.
