According to multiple media sources, veteran sharpshooter Seth Curry is on the verge of joining his brother Stephen Curry in Golden State, agreeing to a one-year deal that would make them teammates for the first time in the NBA.

The reported contract is an Exhibit 9 deal, meaning it is non-guaranteed and allows Seth to participate in training camp. Under this arrangement, the Warriors would likely have to waive him before the season begins, with the hope of re-signing him later on a prorated contract that fits under the salary cap.

At age 35, Seth brings elite three-point shooting to the table. Last season with the Charlotte Hornets, he led the league by converting 45.6 % of his attempts from beyond the arc. His career 3-point percentage of about 43.3 % places him among the top active shooters.

In his long NBA journey, Seth has played for numerous teams, including the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks (across several stints), Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and most recently Charlotte. His average production has varied, but his shooting reputation has remained strong.

For Golden State, adding Seth Curry is not just a family moment but also a strategic move. His floor spacing and off-ball shooting could be valuable in their offensive system. However, the non-guaranteed nature of his contract means nothing is finalized until roster and salary constraints are settled.

The timing of this signing may also relate to other roster decisions the Warriors are making, such as the contract of Jonathan Kuminga, whose future with the team had been uncertain.

If everything holds, the Basketball world will see the Curry brothers on the same roster, combining their shooting talents under one franchise. It’s a move with both symbolic and tactical implications.
