The Kansas City Royals continued their impressive run by defeating the Chicago White Sox 10-0 on Thursday, completing a four-game sweep and extending their winning streak to six games. The Royals’ pitching staff has been exceptional, recording their sixth shutout in the past 13 games and boasting a team ERA of 2.91, the best in MLB since April 20.

Starting pitcher Kris Bubic delivered a stellar performance, pitching seven scoreless innings, allowing six hits, walking one, and striking out seven. His efforts lowered his ERA to 1.69 and improved his record to 4-2. Relievers Chris Stratton and Steven Cruz each contributed an inning to complete the shutout.

Offensively, Bobby Witt Jr. led the charge, going 4-for-5 with two doubles, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Salvador Perez added a 2-for-4 performance, including a double and three RBIs. Jonathan India contributed two hits, two RBIs, and scored three runs, while Maikel Garcia hit a two-run triple. The Royals amassed 17 hits, tying their season high.

The White Sox, struggling on the road, have now lost 17 of their last 20 away games and suffered their 11th consecutive defeat at Kauffman Stadium, setting a new club record. Starter Davis Martin allowed four runs over 4 1/3 innings, and the bullpen couldn’t contain the Royals’ offense.

Looking ahead, the Royals will host the Boston Red Sox, with Michael Lorenzen (3-3, 4.23 ERA) slated to start. The White Sox will return home to face the Miami Marlins, hoping to reverse their fortunes.
