Bukayo Saka and Eberechi Eze delivered the clinical strikes as England national football team secured a 2-0 win over Serbia national football team at Wembley, maintaining a flawless record with seven wins from seven in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

In what became a comfortable victory, Saka opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a superb volley after a blocked shot looped up for him. Debutant Nico O’Reilly played a role in that buildup. Then, deep into stoppage time, substitute Eze curled a brilliant effort into the top corner after a sweeping move involving Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham.

The result also extended England’s clean-sheet streak to an astonishing 10 matches. With 21 points from seven outings, they remain unbeaten in the group and have already qualified for the World Cup finals in North America. Serbia, on the other hand, saw their playoff hopes effectively ended.

England manager Thomas Tuchel praised his squad’s depth and adaptability, highlighting the strong impact from the bench and the “team not just the starting XI” attitude.

While the match lacked the high octane of some previous fixtures, that almost mattered little: the job was done. England’s perfect qualifying record continues to build momentum ahead of the tournament proper.
