As the defending champions attempt to win the Six Nations for a seventh time in a row, Zoe Aldcroft will captain England.
Head coach John Mitchell has added four uncapped players to the Red Roses‘ roster, who currently hold the Women’s Six Nations title and have won the competition six times in a row.
Aldcroft, a forward for Gloucester-Hartpury with 58 caps for his country, will captain the Red Roses in the Guinness Women’s Six Nations and the Rugby World Cup this summer, which begins in August.

Vice captains Megan Jones of the Leicester Tigers and Marlie Packer of the Saracens will assist her. The Women’s Six Nations begins on Saturday, March 22, with France and Ireland playing, and the Red Roses play Italy on Sunday, March 23.
Four uncapped players—Abi Burton (Trailfinders Women), Charlotte Fray (Leicester Tigers), Flo Robinson (Exeter Chiefs), and Jade Shekells (Gloucester-Hartpury)—will make their debuts in the 37-player team, which consists of 21 forwards and 16 backs, according to head coach John Mitchell.
Mitchell remarked, “We have a roster with terrific depth and a really intriguing combination of players.”
“Depth provides healthy competition as we look to evolve our combinations. It will be really good to get everyone together; this is an important week to refocus and get everyone on the same page as quickly as we can.”
