South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the second and final Test against India in Guwahati due to a rib bone stress injury, Cricket South Africa confirmed.

Rabada, who also missed the opening Test in Kolkata, sustained the injury during a training session prior to the first match. Persistent discomfort led the Proteas medical team to withdraw him from the rest of the tour.

To cover his absence, Lungi Ngidi has been added to South Africa’s Test squad. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma emphasized that the team still aims to win the match rather than merely draw, noting that the Guwahati pitch could assist both batters and spinners. South

Rabada will begin a four-week rehabilitation programme and will return home after the Test.
