In a statement victory at the 2025 Jannik Sinner Triumphs at Paris Masters and Reclaims World No. 1d No. 1 ranking.

The Italian soared into top spot as soon as the updated rankings dropped on Monday, leap-frogging Carlos Alcaraz thanks to a flawless run in the French capital—he lifted the trophy without dropping a set.

Sinner’s path to the crown was emphatic. He dismantled Alexander Zverev 6–0, 6–1 in the semi-finals, positioning himself for No. 1 with one win to go. In the final, he broke Auger-Aliassime early, appeared untouchable on serve and sealed the win with a backhand down the line.

The victory marks Sinner’s fifth title of the 2025 season and extends his indoor hard-court winning streak to 26 matches. For Auger-Aliassime the finals loss was bitter: not only did he miss the chance for the title, but his hopes of securing automatic qualification for the 2025 ATP Finals in Turin were also jeopardised. jannik

In his on-court interview, Sinner reflected:

“It’s huge, honestly … the past couple of months have been amazing … seeing these kind of results makes me incredibly happy.”

With the season winding down, Sinner’s return to No. 1 sets the stage for a compelling finish to the year. The win not only adds a major trophy to his cabinet, but also re-positions him as the man to beat in the closing chapter of 2025 jannik
